After a strong bidding war set primarily in the AL East, Lorenzo Cain finally decides to call Boston his home for the next 3 years in exchange for $84 million:
Lorenzo Cain - 3 years / $28.000 MM per year / no option

I will preface this by admitting that I'm not a big fan of Lorenzo Cain, but I am going to predict that $28 million for him will be the biggest overpay of this free agency period.

I don't like the third year much, but I think it's a pretty solid price tag for him.

LoCain is one of my favorite players. I think its a pretty fine deal for him in today's nsbl economy. Unbiasedly, of course.

Sale got the sex he deserved. T1 is over. Too many years being handed out on these risky annual values, but at least most of us had fun.
Everything is fine.

Zach attack is locked in! Just wanted to point out that Boston's runner up bid is Zach's actual remaining salary IRL. 3y 35M.
I'm not worried about him playing that 4th year, he'll get a projection even if he doesn't play. Zach is a competitor, he will be around. And that's assuming he doesn't get bored and become a sheep farmer in Vancouver by the end of May. Really, either option seems plausible.
But the Giants are playing all rookies the next 2 years. After that I should have a few more wins to pay for players.

yeah, my salary really can't get much lower. Just need to manage the number of FA on the team for the life of this contract.

Did we ever get the final signing numbers for Kazuhisa Makita and Yoshihisa Hirano? Last I saw they were in a bidding war.
