Nice pick, Hayes He's a long way away, but I like that pick a lot. Thanks Ian. He is a long way out but my catching situation is such that I should be able to wait. I agree with Ian. He was high on my board and a potential pick for me further into the draft. Solid pick!

I have to admit, I didn't even know who Michael Reed was before Kiley wrote about him in March. Then, as, he started to really take off in AA, I moved him up to behind Sierra, Verdugo, Alford and Jimenez on my board. I know he's playing RF at AA, but, from all accounts, he can play CF too. It became hard to ignore his start as a 22 yr. old at AA (.300 .389 .467 .856), but then I was reading the mid-season top 50 prospect article at Prospect 361 and they have him ranked at #50. Wish he was a pure CF, but at pick 3.03, I thought this was the time to take him.

"I wasn't considering Miguel Andujar until I read Skip McMountme wrote that he has the quick twitch ability to snap his wrists and glide his bat through the strike zone with such ease. His poor stats are just a reflection that the pitching he is facing isn't advanced enough, that he needs pitchers to throw faster to catch up to his bat. He's smooth enough in the field to stay at third, the errors are evidence of vastly superior range and a strong arm that real 1B will be able to reign in. This kid is a steal here in the third round, and will be the foundation of future great Rangers teams, along with Moises Sierra, Stolmy Pimentel, Nick Maronde, & Luke Jackson."

Not sure if that was written seriously or not, but I sorta hope it was, cause that would be even funnier.

"WOW! Great pick of Brian Anderson, Ty! I had him on my list and was looking to pull the trigger on him later in this draft. Anytime you can pickup a 22 year old 3B prospect with a .658 OPS in A+, you have to jump on him. This kid is the ultimate sleeper prospect. I saw a tweet by Skip McMountme that he's suffering from narcolepsy, and once he quits falling asleep mid at-bat, he's going to really come around at the plate. Anderson is a lock to land up being Headley's replacement at 3B for you in the future."

I'm too busy winning 100 games a year to draft crappy players.

You mean you "were" too busy winning 100 games a year. Past tense, Ty, it's all in the past.

I guess I just had Ty on my mind because I ate at this great Thai food place down in Florida with scout Skip McMountme and two FSL umpires. Might be just a coincidence that Anderson came up during that lunch. Best Tom Yum Goong I ever had. And no JIm, Tom Yum Goong isn't a soft tossing lefty in the Angels organization. "

The Colorado Rockies select: Tom Yum Goong - LHP - LA Angels
Brian will never pass up the chance to get a hot, young Asian boy.

I just want to take this moment to thank Matt Kevin for not posting a pick all day, allowing me to finish all my work today and meet my deadline.
You rock!

Rings.
We wear our three AL and one WS ring on one hand, and our four WC rings on the other.

I was hoping I'd be able to make my first pick this weekend, but with the "2o Hour Krew" all picking back to back, I don't see that happening. We really need to lower the 24 hour clock to about 8 or 12 hours.

Bammit! Nice grab on Micker Adolfo. Didn't think anyone was paying attention to him and had him tabbed at 4.03.

My pick scares me a bit. Quantrill just had TJ surgery and will likely miss most of next season, but he was a strong 1-1 candidate for 2016 before going under the knife. I hope he comes back into the same form he was before getting surgery.
