At least you’re admitting to exploiting the rules for your own gain.
That’s progress.

JJim you are an expert on getting bent over and raped. So I’ll give you that one. I’m not going to say I haven’t made bad trades but I have also made good ones. I’m here to deal and move players if I don’t want them or I like other players. I don’t wake up thinking WWJjD. So suck a big fat COCK.

Shawn, that trade was terrible, and it's the epitome of why the NSBL Yankees continue to be terrible.
68-94 last season, and you just traded your bro a 2nd round pick for a 6th year RP he was likely to non-tender.
Succulent,
JIm

Odor had WARs of 2.3 and 2.8 as a 21- and 22-year old, before his disaster last season. I'll take a dice roll on that. I want the players. JIm

I know it's still very early in his new tenure as a GM, but I like what Miami is trying to do and has done to re-boot that franchise. There's no crying in baseball. Not saying if the plan is going to work or not, but rather than sitting back and hoping, I appreciate how he's hitched up his pants and gotten to work. Newer owners, take note.

Thank you very much. 6 trades and counting and I like what has transpired. We shall see. Now if we could only pitch.

Can't be.... I don't hate Ed or actively request for him to be fired. Trying to rewrite the Jerry Dipoto song to the tune of Ed Schwabeland... just too many syllables.. or rather syllables in the wrong places of emphasis. plus Meg Rowley has other job and all.

I haven't made a trade all day. My hands are shaking and I cannot think straight. Let me think back on all those Oriole World series titles since I have been alive to soothe me. Let's see there is 1983 and.... 1979? No damn Pirates 1971? No damn Pirates

We kept my dad real busy trying to stop us from fighting.

We kept my dad real busy trying to stop us from fighting. I was born in 71 so I missed 66 and 69. That is fantastic about you and your brother. My Dad let me stay up late (I was 8) to watch game 7 and there were some tears there indeed. Both teams did, however, have the best uniforms ever.

That 1979 WS is my earliest baseball watching memory. My Mom let me stay up to watch and I thought I was up soooo late..lol.
Willie Stargell is my favorite all-time player. Rest in peace, Pops.

Stargell and Parker would haunt me forever if we had not won in 1983. I feel like Pops could have woken up out of bed, took a leak, and hit a double. Sort of like Harold Baines but heavier.

My earliest baseball memory was being at Brooks' retirement ceremony in 1977 (at least I think that is the year.) I was 6 and thought it was cool they drove him around the field in a convertible.

I remember my Mom has taken us with her to a conference in 79 and I busted into it to let her know the Pirates has taken the lead in one of the games. It’s not my earliest baseball memory, I remember being at 3RS in 76 but the memory of the look on my mom’s face is still pretty vivid.

Here's a good question related to the 1979 Pirates: Who was a better closer submarine-style? Kent Tekulve or Dan Quisenberry?

Since I also grew up 10 miles from Marietta College, alma mater of Teke, in addition to being a lifelong Pirate fan, it is an easy answer for me.
I have to ask though, how can any child of the Superstation era not include Gene Garber in the question?

I bet there was a post-game bender involved with Garber.
