Can we all agree that the Billy Butler contract is currently the worst contract in NSBL?

I'm a big enough idiot to take Billy Butler....If Ty gave me Kris Bryant also.

I am pretty sure if we all had to come up with a list of who would be dumb enough to trade for that contract, the list would look the same right?

I don't know guys, maybe Ty can shed enough salary to buy it out. Fire sale to win this bet yo! We need to pay down some debt. I've been running the math. I don't think it's possible with the remaining contracts, not just Castillo, that his roster is holding onto. He might be able to buy out Castillo this year and position himself to buy out Butler next year. Just seems unlikely. I intend to dispute all future trades involving Billy Butler. This is the path Ty has chosen and he MUST see it thru til the end.

This is some of the best piling on since Ray Lewis retired

If you do it, you'll be burning service years on players you probably want to have max control over. Check your math, son!

Trade disputed! Lee, you have no plan. Stop making deals until you have a plan. Acquiring all the Red Sox and former Red Sox is not a plan.... it's a fool's errand. Stop it!

It's almost like Lee made the Archer trade to throw everyone off his scent of making poor decisions.

Butler won't be on the Baltimore roster by the end of the year. Guaranteed. Whoever's dumb enough to take the Butler contract let me know, I have some prime Ryan Zimmerman real estate to sell off too...

Sean, you are one son of a bitch. Im pretty confident that my offer for matz was stronger that what you ended up dealing him for. Now its my turn to theoretically slap you in the face.

You can think that. I have a rather large chub for Luiz "Fatz" Gohara and Mallex "Speedy" Smith. I sacrificed getting a filler piece in order to upgrade all the things I was asking you to give me. You can blame ZiPS for this. If Despaigne hadn't received a useful projection, I might have still been locked in on getting a replacement arm instead of trying to get better prospects. And screw all the anti-Gohara opinions out there. You're all idiots. Fatz Gohara is gonna rule the world.

Gohara's ceiling is below what Matz currently is. And Mallex is a 4th OF.
But the picks should come in handy when you package them with Gohara to get a solid #2 SP come June.

I still don't think it was a lesser offer. It was different offer. Picks were higher. Got myself a guy who according to writer's I follow is at least a top 100 'spect. Mallex might only be a "4th outfielder" right now. I might have to change his nickname from "Speedy" to "Slappy". I just like the deal. It is certainly subjective. My rose-colored glasses regarding players will almost always win out. Gohara > Folty & Kingham. Mallex is my boy. It's not really complicated. Even though I called Joe an asshole, the trade is certainly debatable. Especially if I'm wrong about Gohara.

Question for the rest of the league: Have any of you received a trade inquiry from Matt that didn't involve Folty?
Also, I'd like to see which Top 100 list(s) Gohara makes. I haven't seen Klaw's cause I don't pay for Insider. MLB Pipeline just released theirs and he didn't make it. BA and Sickels haven't released theirs either, and I don't think BP or 2080 have either.
I like Gohara as much as the next guy, I even traded for him a year ago in MLBSA, bit his ceiling is pretty much unanimously viewed as a #3.

1 - No one is buying that you "don't pay for it".
2 - Kyle Glaser puts him as a borderline Top 100 guy ----->
Frank (Indianapolis IN): How many of these guys are likely to make the BA 100? Kyle Glaser: This seems to be the standard first question in all of these chats, so we’ll start there. Lewis and O’Neill are definite. Both are Top 50 most likely. Beyond that, maybe you’ll see Gohara at the back end, but that’s about it.

Also from Fangraphs "On upside, Gohara is one of baseball’s top-50 prospects (pretty conservatively), with the chance to be a No. 2 or 3 starter if everything comes together. He represents significant risk because of his occupation and history of conditioning issues. His floor (assuming he doesn’t completely flame out in the minors) is that of a late-inning reliever." www.fangraphs.com/blogs/scouting-the-braves-and-rays-new-prospects/Again, I'm on the side that puts him as a borderline top 100. I wouldn't be surprised or disappointed if he didn't make a lot of lists. They're my rose-colored glasses for a reason.

I like gohara, hes just far away. I offered kingham because you said you liked him. But like Sean said comparing most prospects is a shot in the dark. This package could turn out better, time will tell.

I mistakenly thought that trying to talk things out on the smack talk thread was a good idea. I apologize.
Your opinions are irrelevant because you're all idiots. You should all eat a bag of dicks.
Thanks for your time.

Connor is an Insider and he said KLaw does have Gohara at #77.
Still doesn't take away the fact that you berate other owners for not having a plan when you do the same thing yourself. But you did turn Porcello into Rob Refsnyder, Jordan Patterson, Luiz Gohara, Mallex Smith, pick 3.25, and pick 4.09. So I guessing turning quality into quantity is pretty good. Even if you do lose out on a "Lefty Messiah" that you compared to Cole Hamels in text to me.

I mostly wanted it for some of the hockey stuff that appears on ESPN, and for $3.99 I figured it was a fair price. If you want to know the ranking position of your prospects, let me know and I can post them.

If I tried to compete, you'd be hyper critical. If I treaded water looking for a better plan, you'd be hyper critical. If I give up the ghost for a year or 2 to rebuild, you'd be hyper critical. Under the guise of smack talk, of course. So why do you even care what I do? Aren't I giving you and your Cubs exactly what you want?

I think it was $5 for both or something ridiculous like that. I did it and really liked it, but haven't been able to find it for that cheap since then. Since I didn't really read the magazine, I didn't want to pay what they were asking to renew my subscription.
