When is this draft allowed to start, sluts? Can Connor make his pick June 1st?

My Bregman and Fulmer picks are looking pretty sweet right now. Screw you man, time is gonna tell on my Skye Bolt pick. And once Riley Ferrell gets drafted and moves to the rotation he's going to be an ace with a low mileage arm. Just wait and see. Baltimore will be avenged!

My Bregman and Fulmer picks are looking pretty sweet right now. My Brady Aiken pick... not so much. At least I traded up to get Alex Jackson to get some value out of the 1st round... oh wait. Jackson is sucking, too. Well, at least he's playing.

I think as a matter of principle you have to declare Connor in violation and move on to Rich. It is the only honorable thing to do.
As fair co pensation you can move Connor to the top of the waiver claim list so he can have 1st shot at the oncoming parade of inactive minor league players getting ready to come available.

He would just trade the inactive minor league players to the Phillies and Yankees for future first and second round picks in drafts with better talent, making this at best a moot point, but likely a losing proposition for the rest of the league.

The real question is how this affects me getting Alex Avila back to trade him for some more picks. Anyway, sorry to do this but the pick most likely won't be made until Monday. I'm currently in Boston for my brothers graduation and I still haven't nailed down the pick and won't be able to do any research in the next few days. Plus, it kind of seems like our season has just started and I've spent a lot more time tinkering with my big league squad than focusing on the draft so far. I suppose that if I finalize anything in my head the next couple days then I'll be able to use my phone to make a pick, but most likely it'll be something to check back on on Monday; sorry again everybody. If anybody wants to make an outstanding offer in the pick, feel free to shoot me an email, I'm not 100% attached to it at this point, still throwing around different players in my head at this point.

That's bullcrap, man. I have the 80th pick. You're slowing me down. I also have the 88th.

Connerdog translator: I'm going to stand pat to see if someone severely overpays for pick 1.1.

Have we set a start time? Is it today? I perused the above messages and didn't see any announcement.

I think the Dodgers' Honeywell pick is solid. One of the really tough things about drafting near the top of Round 1 is whether or not to take one of the breakout minor league guys, or to nab one of the best prep/collegiate guys that just got drafted in real life.

FWIW, I think Honeywell is the best player available in this draft. I think that once the frame fills in, he's going to become a solid mid-rotation SP, featuring power, deception and attitude. Solid, solid pick! He was my target at #10 (wishful thinking).

Solid, solid pick! He was my target at #10 (wishful thinking). Thanks Mark. I was very tempted to take Honeywell in the winter draft. He flat out dominated the Appy league as a 19 year old. The more I read about him this past off-season the more I liked. 4 above average pitches, one being a screwball with good mechanics, smooth repeatable delivery and as you said, room to grow and add weight. With only 33 innings in short season ball last year it was too small of a sample size to pull the trigger on him this past winter. Being only 20, I'll have to wait on him a little while, especially since the Rays are notoriously slow about moving their SP's through the minors, but I couldn't be happier with the pick.

Honeywell is a Mike Marshall disciple FWIW. His stuff is going to destroy hitters at the lower levels. Top of my board as well. We will see how he plays against tougher competition.
Brendan Rogers is a stud. Clearly an easy #1 on this board.

Tic toc. Is Connor going to get his pick in on time, 4 hrs to go. Or, did his time start last night? Still less than 7 hours to go in that case.

I know I should know this but could not find it when I went to look it up. Does our draft clock stop over the weekend? I thought it did (which is good since I am chaperoning a camp this weekend). Not good if I am wrong.

I would rather it not get to my pick until I'm back Sunday evening. LOL

Seems like a very good pick. De Leon's K/9 is through the roof, and he's at AA as a 22-year old.

De Leon was #2 on my board, right behind Honeywell. Amazing that he found 4-6 mph simply from cleaning up his mechanics. I watched a ton of video on him and the stuff is filthy and legit. Very nice pick.

De Leon was the only other guy I was considering with my pick. I would have been happy either way. Very solid pick who has a good chance of getting fast tracked due to LA's rotation injuries. I'm surprised he was there at #4.

As a few of you know, De Leon was a guy I wanted pretty bad. Had a few chances to trade up to get him, but the price to trade up was just a little too high...
There's a new guy I'm hoping falls to 7, but I'm not too hopeful.

Sorry to upset everyone, but there's a chance that I will take a good chunk of my 24 hour window to make my pick. I have a small list of guys I'm interested in, but none that really stand out to me. I want to go over it again, and since I'm currently on vacation, I won't get a chance to do so until either tonight or tomorrow morning.
If anyone wants to discuss trading up for the pick, send me an e-mail and I'll take a look at it. I'll currently open to any and all options.
