ADRIAN BELTRE - 3B - Seattle Mariners - Class of 2022Arguable the best defensive infielder of his generation, Beltre won four Gold Gloves and a World Series, all with the Seattle Mariners. He also made three All-Star teams, took home a Silver Slugger award, and nearly won the 2014 AL Triple Crown, finishing 1st in Batting Average and RBI, but 6th in HR. In his 14 season career, he only played for four franchises, spending four seasons with the Yankees, two and part of a third with the Cubs, half a season with the Rockies, and then his final seven seasons all with the Mariners. His final career statistics are a .261/.311/.424 triple slash, with 2209 H, 430 2B, 294 HR, 1067 R, 1148 RBI, and over 50 WAR.

Beltre is a late addition, after I realized that my defensive runs saved calculations had been off for ~4 seasons of the league (I noticed that Derek Jeter was getting around +20 defense and realized that there was a significant bug. After fixing the bug, Beltre's defense was restored to elite levels, pushing him over one of the set thresholds I have to get into the Hall.

Woo hoo!! Seattle has two Hall of Famers (along w/ Billy Wagner). I was thinking the other day I had a lot of great players play for the team, but not many HOFs. Glad Beltre made it.. he was a staple for the Mariners. I love how seeing Jeter with positive defensive metric alerted you to a bug in the system.

I was doing his Hall of Fame write up and noticed that he kept showing up in my Gold Glove rankings and that raised a 5-alarm fire in my brain
