Yall getting your panties in a bunch for one day? The Brewers come out tomorrow. Keep it up and I'll take extra days.

I am very impressed with the Curtis Mead pick, but likewise offended by the font size and color used to announce his drafting. There need to be rules against this sort of flamboyance.

Mead was on my short list for my pick. I was sorta surprised to see him at #97 on the BA list (I just ordered my first ever subscription to them!).
The Pfaadt pick should be interesting to follow. I couldn't dip my toe into that AZ pitching well again, but I'm curious to see if he continues his meteoric rise from nobody to somebody.

JIm I’ve maintained that no draft is successful until one offends you. That said, I had Mead sixth on my draft board going in and then got seriously concerned when BA announced their top 100 and Ty stalled momentarily in the draft. I would have been furious if Mead had fallen all that way, only to watch Ty snipe him in front of me. So, I’m not furious and you’re offended. That’s a fulfilling draft so far.

Something about Mead doesn't sit well with me. And I don't have BA so I didn't know he was ranked. I like Pfaadt because of the reports of the two plane movement on his curve and also a slider with longer break to confuse hitters and keep them off balance. He was high on my list already but the FG write up moved him to the top.

He was high on my list already but the FG write up moved him to the top. I liked your pick too. Can’t say I have no concerns about Mead either. He has no arm and I drafted him knowing he wasn’t going to be a 3b. I think he can play second, first or LF though and when you can hit, they’ll find a spot to play you. This reminds me of my Dustin Harris pick where uncertainty of position has the high grade bats flying under the radar. Aside from Alonso, Verdugo and a small handful of others, I pretty much had to rethink my strategy on drafting hitters.

Thank you, Matt. As much as I don't need Yepez (1B/DH only type), I'm not sure I could've passed him up in 3 picks if he was still there. Excellent pick.

Had it narrowed to 3 players for my pick. A guy who could help this year, but had an uncertain future, and then two prospects. I went with the shortstop just due to needing more in my system with a greater chance of sticking at the position.

O'Hoppe was the only catcher on my list. I don't need another catcher in my system, but I was starting to wonder if I should take him should he fall to me. Good pick, and now I'm glad that I don't have to make that decision!

All 4 of the recent picks were near the top of my board. Palacios was my next up and I nearly took him based on the strength of free agency

Almost took Palacios with my 1st round pick. Was holding out a glimmer of hope he’d still be there in Round 2. Definite Asdrubal Cabrera vibes with his minor league stat line.
Great pick, Houston,

I'm reasonably certain that I over-drafted Doval. Just want to acknowledge that the way the draft has gone that I don't believe he would have lasted to round 2. Draft is good. Too good. Me sad.

Draft has ground to a halt. I know Tim still has a week to pick, but I hope he doesn't take the whole week!

My preference of the Round 1 picks. Some are where they are because my team didn't need that position. Some are where they are cause I knew nothing about the guy when they got drafted and had to look them up. Some are where they are cause I knew nothing about them and never looked them up. My system, deal with it. If you wanna ask why I have someone where I do, ask.

The committee decided to pick Landon Knack - RHP - LA Dodgers for the Twins. How many vacant teams is that now?

That’s a really good pick on the Committee’s part.
There have been times years ago when the Committee would draft less than the best players available, but not anymore.
Probably the best way to get a new GM is to have a team loaded with young talent.

I like that Endy Rodriguez pick. He was on my list, but there were enough guys taken in Round 1 that were immediate fixes that I didn't have to go too deep to get a guy I liked. But Endy wasn't much further down my list and would've been on my short list for my late 1st round picks this Summer.

Romero is one of the more interesting "plug n play" guys available. I had him tentatively slotted for 2.11. Collmenter comps are interesting as his fastball looks almost identical.

After dealing some pitching depth I thought I'd snag a guy that could slot in at the back of the rotation. I also feel the Rays really know how to maximize pitching so even if he just turns into a reliever, his stuff should play up with his funky motion.

How did you nerds allow the #83 ranked prospect of 2022 to slip allllllllllllllllll the way to Patrick here in the 2nd round?
I want to punch Patrick in the face for always taking guys I like. But I frankly want to punch the rest of you in the face for enabling his treachery.
Face punches all around, and twice to guys named "Matt" or "Kevin."

My last pick was strictly short term thinking. I could not pass up those Zips, he will DH for me this year. If he continues to hit and make a little more contact he might be a projection worthy of his current projection.

I was hoping he might be looked at as short-term and I cold snag him.
