Damn it, Tim! I've been waiting suuuuuper patiently for like, 10 picks, to write Dingler's name in. And you have to go and ruin that. When do the Angels play the Sawx next in the sim? Cause you can expect a lot of fastballs in the ribs! Nobody cares about what you do with your Dingler, John. On a serious note, I traded up to get 2 guys. Yajure was one. If you take the other one, there will 1000% be rib shots on your next trip to Chase Field...

Although Ian can at times be dead to me, you've got to appreciate those two picks in the second round.

Standing offer to any team on the clock until I pick or my player I want gets drafted:
Your pick for pick 4.01 this year and my 4th rounder next year.

Imo, that Dax Fulton pick is as good or better than any of the round 2 picks. I was going to try to get him at 3-3 figuring some were scared off by the TJ surgery.

I figured with everything else going on why not double down on the risk factor? I also seem to hate lefties so I needed to add a south paw.

I really like that Burdick pick. Good work, Mark.

I really like that Burdick pick. Good work, Mark. Thanks Brian. Entering this draft and being realistic with where I was picking, I wanted to add the two biggest potential outfield bats I could find. Canaan Smith and Burdick were 1A and 1B on my board, so I'm happy to land both. I question the power for both of them as corner OF's in MLB, but they both can control the strike zone, hit to all fields and hit for average. Both beefy guys, so let's hope the power will be displayed.

Gaston is absolutely eligible, and a good pick. I like the kid a lot. He's on my MLBSA roster.

I know there was a high possibility of Lange dropping to me, but I didn't want to take the chance with Nate picking in front of me twice.
6'4" and he was tossing 92 and 93 without effort last year. Added like 20lbs of muscle over the winter onto his huge frame and he was reaching 100 this spring. He should still have room for more muscle on that frame too so his injury risk goes down when compared to other 18 year olds throwing that kinda heat. And I couldn't have asked for a better team to have drafted him than the Padres. Super stoked to add him to my pitching heavy draft this year.

I have a couple guys I want, and the picks to get them, but I can wait until the 3rd and 4th round to do it. Is anyone interested in moving up to this pick to get your player and in exchange I get a later pick this year like a 4th and a 4th next year?

Just to keep everyone in the know, the following teams will need to waive a player before making their next pick:
Chicago Cubs (the Alford waiver only now gets him to 59) Arizona Diamondbacks Baltimore Orioles Tampa Bay Rays Houston Astros Oakland A's

I was hoping to get Crews with my second 3rd rounder. Nice pick, jerk. Well if someone had taken me up on my 2 4ths for my 2nd, he might have been yours. I only took him here because I couldn't move down. Thought I could get him later. Glad I took him when I did now. So thanks, jerk.

In my research this morning, I uncovered a number of prospects I didn't know about, but now like very much. I actually like a couple of them more than the player I just drafted, but I also knew Toro was going to get nabbed by someone this year, whereas some of these other guys may slide through.
So, if the lack of a real-life season has you not wild about drafting 3rd or 4th round, and you'd prefer to have those picks bumped to 2021 instead, hit me up. Thanks,
JIm

Looks like it didn't show up in my Ctrl+F, because he was listed as "Toro-Hernandez", which I have not seen.
Okay. Hold on. New pick coming...

New pick is in.
Juggling between my loyalty to the old Excel file (which I love) and the new Google Sheets (which MLBSA uses, and I don't like). Toro was listed as Toro-Hernandez in the Excel file, so I missed it.

That Hudson Head pick was a great pick there. I was surprised he wasn't taken last year honestly. I didn't think he was still available.

That Hudson Head pick was a great pick there. I was surprised he wasn't taken last year honestly. I didn't think he was still available. Hudson Head was who I was planning on taking at 2.26, then Joe offered me to trade down four spots because he was worried Nate was going to take his guy. So I was like, alright I'll trade down four spots and move up a full round next year, and decent chance I'll still get my guy....But nope. Nate took my guy. Joe's worst nightmare became my nightmare. So back to the drawing board...I should have the pick up by this evening.

Mark is the thorn in my draft side this year. I let out an audible F bomb every time I scroll down to see his pick.

Mark is the thorn in my draft side this year. I let out an audible F bomb every time I scroll down to see his pick. 🖕 Well, I guess that affirms my feeling that I was having a draft that I could feel good about. In total the last two years,I only had 5 picks, taking Bieber, Peter Alonso, Bolton, Perdomo and Josiah Gray. Two good drafts, but I hated watching you guys running roughshod and stockpiling your systems. This year, I have 5 picks and made every effort to make sure you guys would see that the old man in Texas still knew what he was doing.

Travis is out of town. Said he'll be back today and should be able pick later tonight.

With pick 63 of the 2020 Draft, the normally risk adverse Texas Rangers are taking a big shot of whiskey and hoping for healthy first round level talent. Ohhhh... you've gotten your first taste. If you didn't throw up, you're for sure gonna get addicted. That first taste was cheap, but when you're jonesin' you're gonna have to pay the piper, brah.
