Since the Twins are an autopick, once the draft starts tonight we can make their selection.

Ughhh. With the 10th pick in the 2019 draft the Toronto Blue Jays select: Matthew Allan, RHP, Seminole HS, Sanford, Florida (Mets)Colorado is back on the clock! I was hoping he might fall since he did IRL.

J-Rod is totes #1 on my board (right now) for the Winter. Thanks for caring though, Mark.

Great, now we have to wait for Jim to get caught up to the rest of us. It's been 20 minutes since Brian picked! Where're you at!?

Great backup pick Mark. Perdomo was a guy I would've seriously considered at 1.27 if he was available.

I'm still pissed about the flub, but Perdomo was clear and beyond my second highest rated player on the board. I love the fact that he is a polished switch hitting SS, something that separated him from other MIF prospects for me. Intended to hope he was there at 2:08, so at least your comment makes me less miserable today.

Well, he seriously is my #1 right now since I have done very little prospect research over the past year. But I know him and had actually drafted him in MLBSA when I was still in that league. So rest assured you didnt give me a name that I didnt already know.

There’s a reason I knew he was ineligible so quickly. He wasn’t a secret.

Honestly most GMs in this league should know who Jrod is

I didn't assume I had a pick for another few weeks. May was a blur, I didn't do any draft research, and I'm at a UFO conference over the weekend speaking about the Apollo missions tomorrow, and then this shizzle sneaks up on me. Thanks to my GM friends for letting me know. Winging it hard, the Pirates select: SP Daniel Espino, Georgia Premier Academy (Cleveland Indians)JIm I think this is a good pick. Felt like he went a little late IRL. Feels right given there are many other prospects we have access to pick. He won't extend your current window, but he has a chance to be a big part of the next one.

I like Espino more than several of the pitchers that went ahead of him.

No matter when Oakland picks, mine won't be in until later this evening. It's my daughter's birthday so I'm going to be busy much of the day.

My bad, been busy all week and haven't checked email. Is my pick forfeit now? I don't remember the rules.

Tracy, I really liked your Alek Thomas pick. Last year in MLBSA I took a lot of outfielders and he was one. I was thinking of taking him in the 2nd round here. Didnt expect for him to go in the first. I'm hoping Carroll can be an even better version of Thomas. Would've like to have had both though.

Shit.... nice pick of Cabello. He was the other one I was thinking about when I took Carroll and would have been my pick at 2.12 or whenever I pick next. Just thought Cabello had a better shot of dropping since Carroll just got drafted.

I was hoping Freeman or Cabello would hold out until one of my picks in the 2nd round.

I'm aware I'm up, but my pick won't be made for a few hours as I'm still at work and need to compare so guys when I get home.
As I mentioned before, there is nobody I'm smitten with, so if you're interested in trading to the current pick, hit me up. Otherwise, my pick will be made tonight or tomorrow morning (I don't work tomorrow)

I love the Freeman and Cabello picks. I was tempted to take Freeman last summer draft and Cabello over the winter. However, my pitchers have been pretty awful, so im glad there was a guy whith a 124 era+ available with a starter rating. I have another quality SP for the rest of the year, and likely a good relief pitcher next year. Ive never drafted for an immediate need in the first round, and it feels weird. But I like feeling weird.

I think we can all agree that Colby is the worst. I know he hasn't picked yet, but I'm certain it's gonna upset me.

The Texas Rangers select: Josiah Gray - 21 YR OLD - 6' 1" 200 LB - RHSP - LA Dodgers org
You can call him a starting pitcher all you want, but when they're only 6-1 and average less than five innings a start in their career.... they're moving to the pen soon.

You can call him a starting pitcher all you want, but when they're only 6-1 and average less than five innings a start in their career.... they're moving to the pen soon. Those were my concerns too Joe, until Kiley said that in a re-draft, he would take him much higher. He has him as a likely entry into the top 100 for 2020. As you know, he's a converted position player, played in the northeast and is just a raw talent. I like big SP's as you can tell from my draft history, but there was simply too much chatter from both FG and BA for me to ignore. I only had two picks in this draft and I think I got some high ceiling here when I could have gone safe. According to Kiley: "Because of the strike throwing, fastball efficacy, and ability to spin the breaking ball give him a good shot to play a big league role, and we’ve moved Gray up beyond where we had him pre-draft. The athleticism, small school pedigree, and position player conversion aspect of the profile indicates there’s significant potential for growth as Gray gets on-mound experience. He projects as No. 4 starter, with a chance to be more because of his late-bloomer qualities."

The Mets select: Michael Busch - 2B - UNC (drafted by LAD) I'm skeptical about you listing him as a 2B.
