Anyone been throwing in cash on crypto lately? Really interested to see where LTC ends up, and I have XRP on my map.

I know very little about it, as well, besides the few friends on my Facebook that claim to be smarter than everyone else. Maybe they are, but the people touting Bitcoin are also the weirdo's. Possibly they'll become wealthy weirdo's, but they're certainly not people I ever put too much trust in.
Besides, I don't really have any extra money to invest in this...

Apparently the two twins that Zuckerberg ripped off for Facebook invested big in Bitcoin, and are now billionaires from it. Good for them.
It might be a good investment, but investing in things that aren’t technically real scares the hell out of me.

This could be a huge windfall, or it could end like much of the late 90s tech companies... no actual physical product.

I 'member reading about bitcoin 7ish years ago and thinking it was interesting. In an alternate universe, I'm a wealthy man.

I 'member reading about bitcoin 7ish years ago and thinking it was interesting. In an alternate universe, I'm a wealthy man. Ditto. But to me it sounded just like online money, like Paypal. Not an actual investment opportunity. Of course, I didn't look into it much, or I probably would have gotten my hands on pirated software that could mine for bitcoin back then and then bought a cheap desktop off Craigslist or something to leave running 24/7 mining for them. Now, according to what I've read, it's become so specialized and difficult to do, you don't stand much of a chance unless you join a mining group or have a super computer. My brother in law has tried to get into this, started about a year ago. I don't think he has a full coin yet. Not sure if he is still actively mining for them or not though.

Have any of you guys heard of etherium? Supposedly it will be accepted by apple soon. #2 crypto right now. I'm not too sure of its outlook though. It has trended well the last couple of days with Litecoin and Bitcoin.

I knew I remembered a conversation about this before.
Not sure if anyone is still interested but there is a new cryptocurrency out there called Pi. It's still new and worthless, but unlike other ones you can mine it with your phone on an app that runs in the background.
I downloaded and started it yesterday morning. Only in my wildest dream do I think it will get to Bitcoin prices (like $17k each now), but the way I figure if it can even get to a couple hundred bucks for each piece, it's free money. If any of you are interested, you need a referral to get signed up right now. Feel free to use mine.
minepi.com/Boxkutter
And you can Google "pi cryptocurrency" to read more about it. It's legit.
