Alright, I've counted the ballots and will begin announcing the award winners now, we managed to get 16 partial ballots, which is terrific, big thanks to all of those who voted!
First up is the Hank Aaron Award, given to the player seen as the best overall hitter in each league. I received 13 votes for each league, with the AL being a neck-and-neck race between teammates two teammates, while the NL saw a clear top-2 players emerge, with one of them running away with the award.
In the American League, DH Miguel Cabrera of the Baltimore Orioles narrowly squeaked by teammate Ryan Zimmerman to take home the Hank Aaron award, with Giancarlo Stanton of the Seattle Mariners and Troy Tulowitzki of the Texas Rangers sitting at a close 3rd and 4th.
Cabrera had an incredible season for the 101-61 Orioles, following up his 2011 NSBL AL Triple Crown by hitting .297 (9th) /.381 (2nd) /.537 (5th), for an OPS of 0.918 (1st) with 33 2B, 35 HR (T-7th), 97 R, 100 RBI (T-9th), 80 BB (7th), and only 107 K in 2012.
In the National League, 3B/1B Jose Bautista[/b] of the World Series Champion Colorado Rockies win with a total of 48 points, a full 19 points ahead of runner-up Ryan Braun of the Pittsburgh Pirates, with 3rd place Prince Fielder of the New York Mets and 4th place Joey Votto of the Los Angeles Dodgers also receiving a first-place vote.
Bautista punished National League pitchers to the tune of a .304 (6th) /.415 (2nd) /.615 (1st) triple slash, resulting in an OPS of 1.030 (1st), with 47 HR (1st), 107 R (5th), 145 RBI (1st), 106 BB (2nd), 144 K, and 9:2 SB:CS ratio.
