Playoffs are set! I've uploaded everything, but I need to re-upload the zip file soon with the play-offs set for teams. Gonna have to see how to set it up with all these teams. I'm sure I'll figure it out.
We can take tomorrow off, but then let's get this shit rolling Monday night with the Wild Card round. The season ended on October 5th, so the play-offs will start October 7th with games on three consecutive days (if needed) at the higher seeded teams' fields. They don't change in the WC Round. After all four WC series are wrapped up, there will be an off day before the 5 game LDS series starts.
Had some whacky shit happen in those last three games, so let's get to it. Tampa lost all their games. This allowed Texas to sneak by Tampa and into the play-offs. Texas tied the Mariners, but due to a tie-breaker (see Week 26 roundup), they get to be the #2 Wild Card and Seattle slips to #3. On the senior circuit, we ended up with a 3-way tie for the 3rd WC between Philly, Milwaukee, and Colorado. Now, since there are no more play-in games, it came to tie-breakers. In a 3-way, the first tie-breaker is combined record against the other two teams. Philly went 7-6 against Milwaukee (2-4) and Colorado (5-2). Milwaukee went 7-6 against Philly (4-2 and Colorado (3-4). And Colorado went 6-7 against Philly (2-5) and Milwaukee (4-3). Due to that, Colorado was eliminated by 1st tie-breaker. That takes us to 2nd tie-breaker which is Intradivision Record (aka a team's division record). Philly went 43-33 in the NL East while Milwaukee went 36-40 in the NL Central, thus making Philadelphia the #3 Wild Card.
American League:
Texas @ Baltimore
Seattle @ Kansas City
Byes: Toronto and Oakland
Winner of the Tex/Bal series will face Toronto.
National League:
San Francisco @ Cincinnati
Philadelphia @ Atlanta
Byes: Arizona and Pittsburgh
Winner of the SFG/CIN series will face Arizona.
