Took 2 of 3 from both the Yankees and Pirates, staying even with Toronto who also went 4-2 this week. And just to match them I also made a win-now trade (though he got a substantially better I'd say, as I had to pay up for rentals while he got a couple pieces that will stay on for future years).
The good: The fearsome threesome of Josh Lindblom, Caleb Ferguson, and Austin Pruitt. Combined they went 3-0 this week, throwing 21 innings, allowing 4 runs (3 ER), and striking out 20 batters to only 3 walks. What a group of lifesavers for this season.
The bad: What happened to plate discipline? We only took 9 walks this week, against 51 strikeouts.
Coming up: A day off, then 2 against the Brewers and a critical 5 game set against Toronto (doubleheader on July 2nd, my birthday)
