Great week. Went 5-2, but could have been even better as I outscored my opponents 40-21 and both losses came in 1 run games (more on that later).
The good: We THUMPED! 11 homers this week, including 3 from Mookie, 3 from Brad Miller, and 2 from Harrison Bader. A team OPS of .766 is nice to see after a few weeks of offensive ineptitude.
The bad: Shane Bieber, Taylor Rogers, and Sam Coonrod combined to one-hit (Mookie Betts double) us in a 1-0 victory. We drew no walks (though Anthony Rizzo was hit by a pitch) and struck out 12 times. What a waste of a well pitched game between Alex Wood and Pete Fairbanks (8 IP, 3 H, 1 R (unearned), 1 BB, 5 K). Also we let up 9 homers which isn't ideal.
Coming up: 3 against the Cards, then 3 in Minnesota
