I need to move some pieces to make room for new pieces. I know half these guys in going to have to waive, but a few might have interest to teams with more roster room than I have.
Sam Carlson - SP - Drafted by Mariners in 2017 then had injury after injury. Finally back but he's like 22 in A ball. Doing okay but not great. Still has upside and am arm without a ton of miles.
Jorge Guzman - RP - Was the big part of the return in the Stanton deal to NY. Miami mismanaged him and then he had injuries. He's back now in the Giants system as a reliever. I think he may be on the 40 and he's just on a rehab assignment? Not sure. But decent lotto ticket arm.
Franklin Perez (1997) - RHP - One of the big pieces for the Verlander to Houston deal. Had barely pitched since arriving in Detroit. He's healthy now but at the complex. Probably not worth a gamble on unless you're a Tiger-homer.
Ronnier Quintero - C - My winter pick from just last year. Highly touted IFA got to the states and just went "blah". Maybe he turns around? Idk. I didn't do a ton of homework for the winter draft that year, but I passed over like 2 or 3 guys who would become Top 100 prospects for Quintero.
Antoni Flores - IF - He walks plenty. Strikes out a little more. Low BABIP and no power or speed. He sucks. Don't trade for him.
Bradley Zimmer - OF - Zimmer is already in the majors. Tore up his shoulder a few years ago in a diving catch and never been the same hitter since. Can still play D, but has lost a step. 80 OPS+ on the disk this year with good outfield defense still. 3rd year and only $845k. Contract not guaranteed for this season yet. You could do worse with 4th Outfielders.
So drop me a line if interested in any of these guys. I can sell them for minimal cash. Package them with a pick for a slightly lower pick. Anything.
