Hey y'all, player minimum salaries are going to change starting in 2023. We will be increasing $50k per season until we align with the new CBA minimum (~$800).
This change will impact free agent bidding minimums along with players in their 1st - 3rd year status that are currently below the minimum.
Please plan your off-seasons accordingly as I know how excited we all are the pay our players fairly! FAIR!
I will continue to update this post and thread if any other changes are made for 2023.

2023 - Minimum rookie salary boosted to 700k. This catches us up to MLB, after falling behind, should remain stable for 4 years, then to 750k around 2027. I boosted all rookie contracts to 700 before arb calcs. All 2nd years (going into 3rd) players were given 195k as their boost (the minimum) before arb. 3rd-5th players were given a 15% boost before arb adjustment. This seemed to work decent and if anything under sold the increase. I may have to consider boosting 3-5th year arbitration calcs in future seasons, but for now keep it simple. If we do adjust that formula, it will be a public discussion. My concern is the crazy FA money that MLB is now all in on. We've seen it in our league a bit. I realize i changed this on the fly instead of following this announcement. The math is frankly easier and the net effect is minuscule to any team's salary. One year of shifting arb numbers is a lot better for predictability than having to figure out a 50k bump for the next 5 years. The difference is less than 2M for every team. Easily made up by inflation at the top.
