My initial email to them:
Hello,
I don't see an answer on the site, but I was wondering what the plan was for the projection release if the lockout goes into the summer? I know typically you wait for finalization of 26 man rosters. Are you planning to do the same this year or will you be releasing the zip with just players attached to teams?
I am assuming I can speak for most projection league owners when I say that I hope you don't make us wait. You may be the only baseball many of us get for awhile.
Thank you,
Joe Clark
Their reply:
Joe,
Thank you for contacting us with this question. Diamond Mind's projection database is prepared in partnership with a 3rd-party developer who supplies the ZiPS projection stats and ratings. We typically receive the projections data no sooner than mid-April. It then takes another 10 to 14 days to wrangle the raw stats and ratings into a DMB compatible database meaning release is usually three or four weeks after Opening Day.
Assuming everything is provided by the supplier following approximately the same schedule there is no reason that the projection database will be impacted unless there is a prolonged delay to the start of the MLB season.

My reply back:
So a prolonged lockout and/or strike will delay the release? If this stretches until June, we may not have the release until July and possibly not have a 162 game schedule?
The reply:
Joe,
I have no reason to believe that the projection database will be delayed beyond the usual release period of late April. However, as I mentioned, Diamond Mind's current arrangement relies on receiving the projections data from a third-party source. Unfortunately, we have no control over when that data is received so I am unable to speculate on what effect, if any, a prolonged lockout may have.
