You guessed it! It's Jim's Annual Buster Posey block.
As you might know, Posey had a pretty huge real-life year in 2021, to the tune of a 3.5 WAR, .889 OPS (140 OPS+). He then promptly retired. Luckily, ZiPS always sims the good players one additional year, which coincides with Posey's 2022 option. Luckily too, he's already received his 2022 projection:
2.3 WAR, 105 OPS+
To put that projection in perspective, only (5) total catchers received projections higher than that in 2021:

I am looking for only one of the following in return:
A. 4th round pick in one of the next two seasons
B. 3rd round pick in one of the next three seasons
C. A solid prospect who just had a good season at A+; not a top-100 guy, but a solid prospect
I will pick up $2.7MM, which is about what it will cost me if I decline Posey's option later in the offseason. This is good value for a team with a ton of cap space, of which the Pirates never seen to have.
