Sim was run and the link is in my signature below. I am just having issues trying to figure out how to upload information to the website.
Received 29 MP's. Please send in by 8pm on Friday each week and I will endeavor to have the sim run Friday nights each week.

Let's be honest. I am not computer savvy. Here is the link to the file.
(moved to signature)
I will keep working on it.

Just looked at the boxscores....looks like we're doing the start the runner on 2nd base to start extra innings? How do people feel about this?

But it is how MLB is doing it, soooo... And yes, I realize that I am saying that while being happy about our universal DH even though MLB doesn't have one.

The roster (Google sheet) is updated to reflect everyone's 26-man roster from the sim. If you have a moment, please check to make sure it is correct. Keeping the roster throughout the season is easy upkeep, but it's important to have a good starting point (Week 1).
Since it's one of the most common questions, for pre-ARB players (XXX, 1st, 2nd, 3rd) if they have a G in their service time (e.g. XXX-G or 2nd-G), that just means that they have been on the active roster at some point during the 2021 season and their 2021 salary is guaranteed. It's a way to count their salary if they get moved back to the reserve roster at any point throughout the year. It also means for 1st-G, 2nd-G and 3rd-G players, that they are guaranteed to advance a year of service time for 2022. 1st-G will become 2nd. 2nd-G will become 3rd. 3rd-G will become 4th in 2022. NOTE: XXX-G will either be 2nd or 1st in 2022, depending on if they pass rookie eligibility
Also, thank you to (mostly) everyone for getting Hayes the MPs. I asked Hayes yesterday how many MPs he was still waiting for, and I was shocked when he said that he had 28 of 30! Much appreciated..

A quick change of a dropdown menu can change it for us. Jus' sayin'...

Judging by the ass kicking you gave me, I feel fortunate it is there. But I absolutely think it is one of the dumbest rules in the history of sports.. Took me a whole game to blow a lead in the 9th.. fucking pen.

Am I the only person who can't install the league database this week? I downloaded it from Hayes' signature, and it tells me:
Invalid game file (11) in league stat transfer file.
What am I doing wrong? I'm apparently not computer savvy enough for this.

I have photos, slide shows and an abacus on hand as well.

Im starting a go fund me for Hayes to upgrade to v12. He has v12 and that's what was used. I'm helping him get things all figured out. He's just coming from a place where he's never done any of this website stuff before so his knowledge base for it was empty. And our schedules haven't meshed well for being able to just get it done. When I'm most available, he's busy, and vice versa. But we're working on it. Edit: I think the final 2020 file was still the last one up, that's why some had an issue.

I've gone ahead and updated the correct zip file into the website so Hayes' and my signature links will now download you the correct file. I won't upload the rest the site for him though cause I know he wants to learn how to do it.

If you're having an issue with a v11 zip file downloading, clear your internet cache and come back to the site. It was giving Hayes and I issues, so it's not just you.

I've clicked on both Haye's and Joe's signature and neither will download week 1 file for me. Just takes me to a blank page (which is normal) but will not download.

Also, I would be pro-go back to the old extra innings rule. I am also anti-7 inning double headers, but that is moot here.

Not a lot to report on after 3 games. Took 2 of 3 from Miami in the Battle of Florida, though it could have easily been 2 of 3 the other direction as my Game 2 win required a 3-run 9th inning comeback (the 3 RBIs were off a bases loaded walk, another bases loaded walk, and then a bases loaded HBP, all with 2 outs). Game 1 went to extras after Jacob DeGrom threw 9 innings of 2 run ball, striking out 14 and walking none, but not getting the run support to get the win. Maybe it's not just the Mets that can't support the best pitcher in the game. The good: We only allowed 2 homers, that's a good pace! The bad: My offense is supposed to be high powered. We hit 0 homers. Time to overreact! Also DeGrom threw 132 pitches in the first game of the season, going to have to talk with the sim manager about that one.... Coming up: We head to Fenway for 3 and then come back to Tampa for 3 against the Yankees
Weekly Leaderboards are updated: Week-By-Week ChartsTwo notes about the "weekly changes" document: 1. Baltimore sees a big drop in probabilities despite going 3-0, why is that? Well it's because my preseason script didn't have the proper "Will Smith" logic and thus had him inserted as Baltimore's catcher. Going from Will Smith to Garrett Stubbs/Joey Bart lowers notably took his team's projection down. 2. Similarly, the Reds saw a big drop this week for a similar reason. The preseason script had the correct "Shohei Ohtani" logic and was properly projecting him in the Reds lineup at DH as well as in their rotation. My in-season script didn't have the correct logic (so it was probably low on the Reds all of last year as well). That has now been fixed so the Reds should see a bump in next weeks projections (didn't feel like re-running everything tonight) as Ohtani will slot in as his SP3 moving everybody else down a notch as well. Best week: LAA, 4-0, +0.5% World Series Odds (+2.9 wins added to mean win projection). Also Considered: COL, TOR, ATL, PIT, SEA, BAL Worst week: CHW, 0-4, -1.1% World Series Odds (-2.7 wins subtracted from mean win projection). Also Considered: NYY, PHI, SF, BOS, CHC, CIN

In my ten or so test sims, I usually won between 55 and 75 games. Typically on the lower end of that. But what I noticed was if I started slow, like 2-8, 0-10, 3-7, or in that range, I was in the running for the worst record in the league. But if I finished like 5-5 early, I could win 70+ games. So this next week is going to tell me a lot about where my season is going to go.
Corbin Carroll going down for the year already IRL has already taken like 15% of the fun out of 2021 for me though.

I knew I had been in the honorable mentions before, but didn't know if I had actually won. This is exciting! It wouldn't be possible without the rest of you sucking in week 1! Thank you all!

Royals Review Week 1 1-2, 4 RS/8 RA, under .500 for first time since mid 2019.
The 2020 AL Central and AL Championship banners are raised on Opening Day in front of a packed house at Kauffman Stadium, COVID be damned. A familiar foe in Texas visits, looking for revenge after their LDS defeat to KC. Carrasco and Bieber battle on Opening Day. While Biebs goes the distance and strikes out 10, KC uses a familiar formula of solid SP and stellar relief to take the opener 3-2. Post season hero Alejandro Kirk and trade acquisition Alex Dickerson HR back to back in the 4th to provide the winning margin for KC. Games 2 and 3 go to Texas on dominant pitching by Rob Ray and Chris Paddack, holding KC to one run and 7 hits in the last 2 games.
POtW - Carlos Carrasco, 1-0, 3.00 ERA, 6 ip, 7 Ks,
Upcoming - 5 divisional road games, starting with a pair against revamped Cleveland, and a big 3 gamer against ALCS foe Chicago White Sox

Make no mistake though, if I won every regular season game against you, it would not erase the feeling of losing that LDS against you. Hope to see you in late September.
