With the third pick in the 2014 winter draft, The Houston Astros select...
Dansby Swanson, SS/2B, Vanderbilt.
I also will drop Armando Gallaraga. This will make the roster space open for Swanson..

So the problem with purging your reserve roster to setup free agency is that it makes the Winter Picks that much more difficult. You need a guy you believe in that also will hold future trade value AND you have to be willing to play him if he has good #s. My options are a highly touted hitter, a personal favorite with position scarcity, an RP with high upside and serviceable stats, or any pitcher (cuz I need them). I'm going to roll the dice and hope my list of personal favorites are still around late in the Summer Draft.
Brewers select Samuel Tuivailala, RHP, St. Louis Org.
I haven't even hit the "post" button and I'm already questioning myself.

My drafts of OF's has been more miss than hits (Sierra , Haniger, Pimentel and Dickerson), but I've got a good feeling about waiting on this kid. With pick #10, the Texas Rangers select: Aristides Aquino. - OF Cincinnati Reds

This is a very tough choice, I see several guys who are all very close. But I will go with future upside and continue this speedy draft day by selecting SS. Wily Adames out of the Tampa Bay Rays org.
