I think Jordan was a very solid pick by the Red Sox at this point of the draft.

I heard said, with no 2nd round pick, they used their 1st round and 3rd round to pool $ and tried to get 2 second round quality players... im interested to see the GM Bloom plan for getting extra 2% in Boston.

I heard that BA podcast too. BA didn't seem as down on their first round as other sites seemed to be. I think if it's a good organization some of these "overdraft for underslot" guys can become pretty good. I mean Will Smith (catcher), Dylan Carlson, and Carlos Correa were all considered overdrafts at the time.

So I guess Nate is on the clock unless Colby can get his pick in before him.

Liam Norris taken 3.18 was the Real life #3.18 pick. Maybe Boston isn't trying hard?
Love the Hiraldo pick. Was at the top of my list for a while. Passed after loading up at 3B last year.

Hayes' infatuation with young Latin men rivals only that of Milo Yiannopoulos.

Curious to see how Tanner Burns turns out. Cleveland has had a good track record lately of getting more from these "low ceiling" types than the industry thought possible.

Screw you Tracy! Montgomery was easily the #1 guy on my board. So much so I don't even have a #2 target. Guess I have work to do before my pick.
I hope he gets Thoracic Outlet Surgery now. Fartknocker.

Fartknocker. TY, I was questioning taking him knowing it will be 4 seasons before he has a chance to make it. Bonus is making you upset and calling me “fartknocker”. Good to know I’m not the only one that calls people that name.

If you still use that term, I have a feeling you'll enjoy knowing that Mike Judge is going to make two more seasons of Beavis and Butt-head.

I was torn between Montgomery and Burns; I usually opt for the high schooler so I went with the safer route this time. I don't think Burns's ceiling is that low, personally. He lacks projection and needs to stay healthy are the biggest knocks.

I'm hoping that Servideo's junior year is a product of actual change and not a small sample size. But he was maybe the second best draft eligible college player last year, statistically.

Don't forget to release a player. You are over the limit with that pick.

I like the Mace pick. When Carson Montgomery was taken, Mace was the leader in the clubhouse to be my pick at 4.01. But when I went through all the teams again I remembered Song and took him instead.

I like that Workman pick. Blaze, him, and Servideo were the three I was looking at for my last pick. When Blaze was taken it was between the two. I took Servideo because I think he had a better defensive floor and at least becomes a utility guy.
Joe was right, you got a taste of that young prospect and now you want more and more.

Olivares is a great pick there. I almost took him in the winter and he is way more valuable compared to where he was drafted.
Very, very nice pick but I still hate the Phillies.

I took Servideo because I think he had a better defensive floor and at least becomes a utility guy. Joe was right, you got a taste of that young prospect and now you want more and more. I haven't really ever altered my draft strategy. I've only picked in the top 10 once in all my years here and I went young with Nick Gordon, who didn't pan out. So, most of the time drafting late, I find myself grabbing more experienced minor league guys (Bieber, Alonso, Gray, Perdomo, Bolton) that seem to be disregarded in the draft due to young player infatuation in this league. This year, my plan remained best player available. Canaan Smith and Peyton Burdick were the two best bats at where I was picking, then Cole Henry, except for health reasons, seemed like a clear first round arm that got forgotten about. Workman, although in an otherwise weak corner IF class, was BA's consensus pick as the #1 3B in the draft. Hard to pass that up so late in a draft. Even better, he's the youngest college player taken in the draft, so a lost year wasn't as concerning. He doesn't turn 21 until late October. So, I don't think me drafting younger guys is a trend rather than opportunities that fell to me. I still prefer the drafts where minor league studs like Bieber, Alonso, Gray and Perdomo fall to me. On a side note, I like that pick of Alex Santos by CLEV. He was a strong candidate for me with the next pick at 4-30.

I'm aware I'm up, but I'm dead tired from my trip and since I have 72 hours to make these picks (since I control 3 in a row), I am going to sleep. I'll pick/trade tomorrow. Sorry/thanks

While Connor is dressing in his Ghostbusters costume and busy feeding data into his Electronic Numerical Integrator, please note that I will offer a 4 hour window after his last pick to get a deal done for the last pick in the draft. If your guy is still on the board, hit me up with an offer that meets the needs and considerations I've posted in my trade thread. Otherwise, I'll make my pick, which is ready to go, and despite Connor's efforts, the 2020 draft will be done.
